Matraca Berg may be one of the least recognized "stars" in country music today. Few people outside of the industry know her. This is a shame since she is very talented. She is an excellent song-writer. She also has a beautiful voice.

Her songs have been nominated for several awards. In 2012, her song You and Tequila was nominated for a Grammy Award.
